Raisina Dialogue 2017

India's Global Conclave

The second edition will be held on 17, 18 and 19 January, 2017

Raisina 2017 — Navigating Asia’s New Normal: Multilateralism with Multipolarity

Raisina Dialogue 2017 will explore the implications for politics and security, trade and economic development, Internet and the digital domain, the seas and the maritime domain, and most importantly, the aspirations of human beings.

The five pillars of the Dialogue are:

  • Multi-powers: Exploring the absence of a political and security architecture for the Asian region(s)
  • Common Spaces: Continental trade regimes and economic integration will define the future of Asia, but these terms lend themselves to varying definitions. Can definitions be reconciled?
  • Internet/Splinternet: Digital Asia evokes multipolar interest, and needs new route servers and rights protocols
  • One Ocean, Many Regimes: Multiple insecurities and multiple possibilities seek to shape a maritime future
  • Four Billion Aspirations: Growth and livelihood in a young continent with insufficient opportunities

Day 1 | Inaugural Session

Day 2 | Keynote Address by US Pacific Command, Admiral Harry B. Harris Jr.
