Raisina Edit 2025

Raisina Edit 2025

This year’s Raisina Edit deconstructs the fluid character of international politics in the mid-2020s through the prism of six focus areas underpinning conversations at the Raisina Dialogue 2025. Does “The Tiger’s Tale” of traditional development discourse, authored and amplified by the Global North, still hold water in an era where an increasingly bullish Global South articulates its own story more saliently than ever? Can policymakers effectively balance the socio-ecological dilemmas of solving “The Green Paradox” even as they “Reimagine Tomorrow” through concurrent processes of technological innovation, cooperation, and competition? Do redistributions of power, both external to and within the confines of the nation-state, leave “Politics Interrupted” as a multipolar world order crystallises? And does the “Militant Mercantilism” of today, fueling rising protectionism and exposing the fragility of supply chains sustaining the world economy, equally facilitate the proliferation of global conflict, as states recalibrate their strategic visions to serve as subjectively defined “Guardians of Order”?

Informed by each of these thematic pillars, our contributors for the Raisina Edit 2025 provide insightful and nuanced analysis on some of the most pressing issues facing modern geopolitics and represent the diverse range of contemporary public and policy discourse.
